Musta Suru (roughly translates as “black sorrow”) is a two‑man Depressive Black Metal band, founded around 2020 in Tampere, Finland.
We both have a background in black metal bands, and everything began after a rehearsal of another project, when we decided to stay behind and jam.
We continued playing together, and eventually we had several songs taking shape — that’s how Musta Suru was founded.
The band name came to us very naturally, just like our songs do.
From the very beginning we found a shared musical language and mindset.
Our music deals with pain, death, sorrow and all the difficult, unpleasant aspects of human existence — this is our way of releasing difficult emotions. Music is for us both a passion and a form of therapy.
